On the instructions of the Swiss banks as ATM Network Service Provider we operate the Swiss Bancomat network of more than 5,300 cash dispensers involving more than 150 million cash withdrawals annually. Thanks to 7x24hr operation in parallel with excellent monitoring and information management, the systems display above-average availability to the tune of 99,9%. A new generation of Bancomat/ATMs has been in operation since December 2004. These new cash dispensers are able to process EMV chip cards. Each year we process more than 150 million cash withdrawals made with a variety of cards (Maestro, MasterCard, VISA, Visa Elektron, Cirrus, Plus, PostFinance, CASH and myOne) and we are continually activating new cards. Even today, EMV-compatibility for MasterCard and VISA plus the ability to process Swiss Francs and EURO is taken for granted. For other bank cards we offer service functions such as PIN and limit checks. The PIN-change service, which is unique in Europe, is in use by various national debit and credit card issuers (American Express, for example). |
